Adventure Foothills Parkway Wedding
I am excited to share this adventure Foothills Parkway wedding. Alexa & Ryan made the Great Smoky Mountains National Park area their location for their destination wedding. This fun couple opted for a private intimate ceremony at a beautiful cabin in the mountains with their parents as their only guests. After the ceremony, we headed out to the Foothills Parkway for their photo session. We stopped at several scenic spots throughout the parkway and took advantage of the amazing views. Thank you for taking a look at this fun and adventurous elopement session.
Foothills Parkway
Congress authorized the Foothills Parkway in 1944 as a scenic parkway that would provide magnificent views into the Great Smoky Mountains National Park from a road corridor that was outside the Park. The Parkway is a 72-mile long road traversing the western and northern perimeters of the park and will extend from Interstate 40 east of Cosby, TN to its western terminus in Chilhowee, TN. The right-of-way for the Parkway was acquired by the state of Tennessee and transferred to the United States Government. The Park-owned right-of-way is approximately 500 to 1,000 feet wide. The parkway is administered by Great Smoky Mountains National Park.
