Newport Winter Wedding
Thank you for taking a look at this beautiful and snowy Oceancliff Hotel wedding in Newport, Rhode Island. What an adventure this wedding day was for Heather & Tim. Navigating the Pandemic, planning a winter wedding, and making sure everyone was safe and enjoyed themselves; was the goal. This particular wedding was unique, in that the bride and groom asked that all wedding guests and wedding professionals received a COVID-19 test within 72 hours of the wedding day. This allowed me, the other wedding professionals, and the guests to feel more at ease throughout the wedding day. I have had the pleasure of photographing weddings and engagements in the Newport area and wanted to find the perfect spot for their photos.
I drive down the historic Ocean Drive and found the perfect spot around the corner from Castle Hill. After the ceremony, we jumped in a couple of 4-wheel-drive vehicles and headed out to the spot. Heather and Tim were incredible to work with and never once complained about the 30-degree temperature or trudging through the snow. We caught the last part of the sunset and the photos turned out amazing. Thank you for taking a look!
Oceancliff Hotel & Resort Wedding Venue
Oceancliff Hotel & Resort is a 10-acre property located in Newport, Rhode Island. The original structure was built in 1864 and was owned by Arthur Bronson of New York. Designed by the Architectural Firm, Peabody & Stearns of Boston; who was the designer of the original Breakers and Doris Duke’s Rough Point. The property is set on Narragansett Bay and offers expansive views of the Claiborne Pell Newport Bridge.
